GILGIT: A notification regarding the dissolution of Local Bodies system in Gilgit-Baltistan has been issued.The deputy commissioners of the district councils have been appointed the administrators in their respective areas.According to a notification issued from the Law Division, the 5-year term of Local Bodies governments formed in the wake of October 13, 2004 elections, is over, after which they have been dissolved.Governor of Gilgit-Baltistan Qamaruz Zaman Kaira formally sanctioned the dissolution of the LB system.According to another notification, the deputy commissioners of district councils would be appointed in respective six districts of Gilgit-Baltistan including Gilgit, Skardu, Diamer, Ghizer, Ghanche and Astore.
